STEM CELL TRANSPLANTATION
HAIR TRANSPLANTATION BY HAIR STEM CELLS HST IN GENEVA
Hair Stem Cell Transplantation (HST) is the revolutionary hair transplantation technique that offers the best results
Hair Stem Cell Transplantation
The HST method
In recent months, an exceptional hair transplant technique has arrived in Switzerland exclusively from the Netherlands. It’s a patent from the Dutch doctor, Conradus Chosal Gho.
The technique has been used for some years in the countries of northern Europe, Great Britain, London, the Netherlands, Maastricht and Amsterdam, France, Paris and Cap d’Antibes. More than 20,000 interventions have been carried out in these countries in recent years, thus having a complete casuistry of results.
Hair Stem Cell Transplantation
Difference between hair transplant techniques
This is not a conventional transplant technique such as FUE, which involves moving follicular units removed from the donor area at the back of the head and transplanted into the recipient area. Rather, it is a technique that only removes portions of follicular units by acting with needles the size of half a millimeter. The interest of such reduced partial samples is inherent in the phenomenon concerning hair stem cells. These stem cells are collected both from the part that remains in situ and from the part that is collected. This fact is fundamental because from each group of stem cells repels exactly one follicular unit equal to that of the original.
A REVOLUTIONARY TECHNIQUE
HST : Does not displace follicular units, multiplies them
It is clear that if two follicles are born from a follicular unit, one can speak knowingly of the cause of multiplication of these units. It is very important to think about how this multiplication phenomenon can be extremely resolvable in the case of lean donor areas or exploited by other interventions or in the restoration of alopecia of great magnitude. The hair needs nine months to grow again and recreate the size of the follicular units similar to the original. Once the donor area is regenerated, successive new interventions are possible, allowing the desired restoration.

Post-operative evolution
The postoperative evolution is therefore extremely fast and free of disturbing traumatic consequences. Within a few days, the garment is extremely presentable and there is no need to remain in isolation as is the case in many other cases. The extremely small size of the grafts also allows dense reconstruction in the donor area, as the grafts can be placed very close to each other.
Extremely thin, tissue-free transplants could not survive after extraction, like a plant without a clod around the roots. For this reason, transplants receive energy for survival by immersion in a bath containing extracellular matrix elements. The living room in the bathroom, called medium, is at least two hours after extraction. During the first extraction phase, which lasts a few hours, all transplants are taken from the patient’s neck, which contains follicular units that are insensitive to dihydrotestosterone and are therefore free from falls.
In the afternoon, replanting is carried out in the receiving zone. Very small holes are drilled on the patient’s skin, in order to be able to insert, at a very close distance as the tiny size of the grafts allows, all the samples that have been prepared for this purpose. The result is an extreme natural, without scarring, with an absolutely unparalleled density. This process is also possible for the reconstruction of the eyebrows, for the increase of the density of the plaque beards, to restore the scars for example left by FUT FUSS strip procedures. In addition, HST is also a reconstructive technique, successfully used, as various scientific publications illustrate, on patients with skin burns.
How the intervention works
How does an OH&S procedure work? The patient is subjected to a trichological examination by specialist doctors. This visit, for which the patient is asked to fill out a detailed anamnesis form in which he must describe his journey relative to the hair problem for which he consults (if he has already undergone procedures or how he has evolved his baldness).
The importance of consultation before intervention
The purpose of this consultation is to define the project shared with the patient. Indeed, although the patient generally has very high expectations, he must be able to understand what his real situation is. That is to say, he must be aware of the real conditions of his donor zone. This is very important from an ethical point of view so as not to fall into the illusion that, unfortunately, several other operators induce patients. It must be clear that the patient has a limited inheritance of follicular units. When unfortunately the patient gives in to the seduction offered without too many scruples by unethical operators, the promises made, aided even by excessively low economic proposals, The damage that can result is sometimes extremely difficult to restore. Well, the purpose of the consultation is to show the real potential in terms of transplant offered by a donor area.
The donor zone
This must be linked to the area to be restored. The best donor zones, with the largest follicular unit capital available, can provide 4 to 6,000 follicular units. Then nothing can be removed from that area. If the extent of alopecia is large, the patient will have to settle for partial or even incomplete restoration. The Hair Science Clinics, the only clinics where it is possible, exclusively, to undergo a HST procedure, are specialized clinics in regenerative medicine, where the science applied to stem cells is concentrated in rejuvenation.
Consultation of trichologists in the regions
The only Hair Science Clinic in Switzerland is currently in Lausanne. Others may be opened in other important places in the future, but a network of trichologists allows patients to be consulted in their places of residence, while for the intervention they will have to go to Lausanne.
